        How did this come about, and who's Janet?

        I’m Janet Fouts, founder and lead coach at Nearly Mindful.With over 25 years in digital marketing and tech, I’ve seen how easy it is to
        lose touch with what truly matters. That’s why I’m passionate about helping
        people reconnect with themselves and find genuine fulfillment.

        My coaching blends elements of neuroscience, positive psychology, meditation, sound therapy, and mindfulness-based emotional
        intelligence.

        I believe everyone deserves to feel grounded and resilient in their daily lives. If you're feeling stuck or ready for change, I’m here to
        support you in creating a life filled with intention, balance, and joy.

      • Janet's Story

         

        After 20+ years working in marketing and tech I didn’t getthe excitement I used to feel at work. I was burned out, depressed, and
        wondering what the hell I was going to do to keep a little spring in my step
        and to look forward to whatever was coming next. And I was only 50.

        So I started exploring. What did I want life to be like?

        How was I going to create a life that sparked joy and evenhelp me through tough times with resilience and joy? I’ll be honest , I was so
        buried in the daily race that spirituality and self care felt silly and I didn’t
        even consider it.
         

        Then one day I hit the wall. Hard. Started exploring different modalities of self-care. Compassion, mindfulness, meditation , and mindfulness-based stress reduction! Not long after I started studying this stuff and I saw that the science behind it was real. Not silly or fru-fru, After studying with some amazing teachers bit made a real difference in my well being. Ibegan sharing what I’d learned, then quit my rat race job and became a public
        speaker, coach, and corporate trainer in some of the things I’d learned.

        I did a couple of TEDx Talks, wrote a few books, and my practice began to grow. Now I’m 65, and I’ve managed to bring together all of the tools I’ve been learning to offer to women just like I was who are looking at the next half of our lives and thin,king how am I gonna make this work?

        Is there a path to understanding what I really want for the years going forward?

        How can I find a community of women who are all on their own path but also want the support and companionship of others who get what we are going through?
        With 20+ years as a web developer, community manager,speaker and coach? I can build it with your participation. and that, my dear, is the goal of this project.

         

        Together, we are building a community of women who are open to exploring together, where there is no judgment but collaboration. Where we can connect and grow together toward whatever our own path has in store for us.

        I’ve spent almost 15 years learning everything I can to support my own well-being and that of my clients and groups I facilitate in private, corporate, and non-profit groups.

        I've actively pursued mindfulness, meditation, non-violent communication, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Relief from more of those wonderful teachers.


        Bottom line, I love what I do and what I have learned and I want to share it with you so you can share it with others!
